Finally I pinned Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Honestly, It's a great place to be! I will come back because so many things to explore!
Been planning this trip with a good friend of mine last 3 months ago when AirAsia having their promo.
Coming to Kota Kinabalu really taught me a lot of lesson and some survival skills that you have to understand.
We managed to covered few touristic areas such as the Tanjung Aru Beach, Manukan Island, Sapi Island, One Borneo Shopping Mall, Sutera Harbour Resort, partying all night long at B.E.D, exploring the town and Sabah Philippines Market.
Not too bad for less than 3 days. Freaking exhausted, we save really a lot of money due to our accommodation at North Borneo Cabin which is mix dorm room with air con only cost us RM25 for a night.

There are few tips/incident that occurred that would like to share :
1) Try to book your hostel for those who want to backpack in the city instead of somewhere near Tanjung Aru Beach, we did a mistake and the reason is in the city, you can actually walk around to all the touristic place, including the island hopping, market, shopping malls and take buses around the city. To be honest, North Borneo Cabin which is located at the Gaya Street is really clean place and worker is friendly and helpful.
2) For Island Hopping, careful when you pick people to take you to the island, travel agents also charge a lot, make more survey, walk around, we are lucky to get this person to take us to the island, however, still for the last island, he only give us less than 1 hour to explore since he has client to pick up. SHIT !!! SAPI was pretty busy and full with people, scenery was great and beautiful. But not too bad for 2 person, RM100 total for 2 islands.
3) B.E.D is a famous night club, but one part when we ask for the direction of this club, the person mistakenly thought that we want to have girl for one night stand, which only cost RM160, which we not keen for that. He might think that BED as in bed. So to get to B.E.D in the future, it's after the market, and surrounding BED, there is lots of good nightlife as well. The downside of this BED is that it is freaking expensive, imagine, to open JD, it cost RM415, for one Tower of Beer, it cost RM170?!!! How terrible is that place when come to alcohol, tips, buy your own JD and drink in the hostel, then go to the nightclub, order some beers then dance all night long and enjoy your music! Things in KK is pretty expensive!!!
In Philippines Market, you can actually eat sea food there, but it's so freaking expensive, imagine, a lobster 100gram is RM18, one small lobster can fetch up to RM120++ and Big Cost RM250++ just for a dish.
A local with you during your trip might help you up when it comes to budget and cost. But overall, Kota Kinabalu was a great place to be for some short getaway/long getaway! :)

Been here twice in Reggae Bar, my first visit makes me want to go there ever since then, the vibe, the atmosphere is really great. Staying at Matahari Lodge 2, which is nearby to Reggae Bar and it is so convenient  to travel there by only walking distance.

The crowd in Reggae Bar mostly are the backpackers from all around the world, which makes it so special.
Everyone that love Bob Marley, the chilled out vibe should make their visit here, there is a dance floor too where songs
from the latest clubs hit is being played here as well, which is most of the time. But what again makes so special about this place is getting to know all the travelers that comes from far, sharing travel experience & making friends :)
